Every week, young mothers reach out to us with nowhere else to turn. Fleeing abuse, facing homelessness, or simply out of options with a baby on the way. With a growing need in Montana for safe, stable housing, we’re receiving more applications than we have space to welcome.
But with your help, we’re able to say “yes” to more mamas and babies.
How much Montana’s homeless population has grown since 2007.*
A bed and a roof matter, but they aren’t the whole story. What a mama in crisis needs just as much is to know she is seen, valued, and loved, not just housed.
This is exactly what the church is called to do. Scripture is clear that caring for the vulnerable, the orphan, the widow, the outcast, isn’t optional for the body of Christ; it’s part of who we’re meant to be. Churches carry something no program or policy can replicate: the ability to show up as the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting a mama not with a checklist, but with genuine love.
When a church partners with us, whether through prayer, generosity, or presence, a mama in crisis encounters more than help. She encounters the love of Christ, lived out through people who chose to answer that calling on her behalf.
We’ve seen it again and again: when a church steps into this work, it becomes exactly what God intended it to be, a reflection of His love, reaching the people who need it most.
Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Whether your church has a little time or a lot, whether you’re ready to dive in or just want to learn more, there’s a place for you to begin. Here are a few simple ways your church can learn about Love & SONshine Ministries and start walking alongside these mamas today.
We’d love the opportunity to connect with you and share more about our mission.
We are so grateful for these congregations across Montana who are partnering with us to bring safety, stability, and hope to young mamas and their babies.
