This ministry was born from the joy of caring for our own children’s friends – many who lived with us for months or even years. It was then that we realized how many children lack safe, loving environments to thrive in. Their parents were often struggling with addiction, poverty, abusive situations, or just did not have the skills to parent. It broke our hearts and still does today. We knew we had to do something!
We are raising funds to open the “SONshine Home”, a safe, Christian environment for young Mama’s to be loved, to grow and learn skills needed to be out on their own. Our sole goal is to share our hearts, our love, our kindness and grace with these women and most importantly, to help them to come to know and understand the love of Jesus.
To provide homeless pregnant or parenting young women with safe, loving housing and Christ-centered life-changing programs and educational opportunities to help them become self-sufficient.
We seek to make a difference in as many young lives as possible, to leave a lasting legacy, and to break cycles of poverty by teaching young mothers necessary skills to be empowered to aspire and achieve more.
Our goal is to impact generations… two heartbeats at a time by offering hope for these young women, to extend God’s grace and love, and to model a new perspective on a healthy home.

E = Empower To empower others to discover and utilize their Spiritual gifts to further God’s kingdom here on earth.
