Valerie brings nearly two decades of dedicated service in maternity housing and pregnancy help ministry to our annual celebration. What makes her perspective so powerful is that it’s rooted in personal experience. Valerie’s own journey through trauma and teen pregnancy has transformed into a compelling testimony of redemption and purpose that resonates deeply with the mission of Love & SONshine.
This firsthand experience uniquely equips her to understand the challenges facing the young women we serve at the SONshine Home. Her story mirrors the journeys of many of our residents who arrive at our doors facing homelessness, trauma, and uncertainty about their futures and the futures of their children.

Her heart for “the least of these” perfectly aligns with our mission at Love & SONshine, where we provide a safe haven for homeless pregnant teens and young mothers in Billings, Montana.
Just as we’ve seen in the stories of transformation at our home—like our first Christmas baby whose mother found hope instead of despair—Valerie understands that true change happens when compassion meets practical support.
